Dealing With Burnout
Following our move at the end of August, I decided to take a bit of time out to not chase work and just get my head back to a good space after a very busy and stressful summer.
I am incredibly aware I am in a very privileged position that I didn’t need to work full time, our outgoing has significantly reduced as we are now living with family, I do have a little bit of work coming in so there is a little bit of cashflow.
I wanted to take September, October and November to RESET, REFRESH and RENEW, to fall back in love with life. I’m aware that if I just dove headfirst into things, there was a high chance I’d be putting myself at risk of having a wobble with things again. I needed to make sure that I was setting time aside for my mental wellbeing, for my starting studies (more on that another time) and for me to work out what I wanted to do going forward.
I shared a bit more about my plans for the three months in my burn out video below.
